Every day, people die of hunger. Every year huge areas of natural landscape is destroyed in the name of so called progress. People are tortured and go without basic human rights every where. It is important that each and every citizen give to charity. What does that mean to give to charity and why is it important?
People in this and other countries do not have access to the quality of life that those in this country do. People in this country also do not have the same access to simple things like food that others do. It is important to give to charity because this is the only way, that humans can make a difference and save ourselves through saving humans as a whole. There is an aspect to being human that includes a community. You never know when you may find yourself on the other side… hungry or cold.
Of course, one important aspect is to give in the form of money to an organization that dedicates itself to helping people in need. The United Way or the Red Cross are two organizations that help people all over. A donation in the form of money, clothing or food to one of these organizations, even a small donation, can help the human community.
There are many other ways to give. Dating money or goods is only one way that charities operate, also of great need is volunteers as well as people that are willing to devote their lives to operating these organizations. Without action money will not go very far. Without people willing to follow through charity organizations would soon disappear.
And there are many important issues that need our help. Humans are just one of many, including the environment or animals that also need help. In the end, maintaining a healthy population and a healthy planet will go a long way toward your own healthy life.
